Renewing a Permit

To renew an existing permit, we require a completed permit renewal form to be sent to activities@gmescouts.org.uk

Permit renewals require a detailed log book, a risk assessment and a first aid certificate. More details can be found in the renewal form. Your log book should include both personal experience and group work, including experiences outside of Scouting.

Your risk assessment can be for a session you have run recently, or for the type of session you are likely to run. However if you are requesting a higher level of permit, the risk assessment should be for a session aimed at that level. For example if applying for a T2 permit, the risk assessment should be for a walk on T2 terrain.
