All adult volunteers must complete training for their role within 3 years with the initial modules, called 'Getting Started', signed off within five months. The scheme, delivered by the Wood Badge Scout Active Support Unit, has options of how to complete the learning required and local support, where possible, to sign off (validate) the modules. The National award winning training scheme gives excellent support for an adult in Scouting and demonstrates to parents our commitment to provide a safe and sound youth provision, letting the young people experience an everyday adventure.
