Adventurous Activities

The information on these pages is intended to help Leaders understand which activities require activity permits and which activities do not require a permit.

This is, of course, provided you follow the rules in POR chapter 9 and understand all relevant fact sheets which are linked in the appropriate sections.

There is also information on the site for future events and training.

Please check this site regularly for new courses, events and for updates from HQ.

Role of County

The remit of the team is to support and develop a quality Scouting programme for the young people in the area. To help us focus upon what will make a difference across the County we focus on 5 areas:

  1. Widening opportunities for young people with events
  2. Programme and activity support – ensuring quality Scouting for all young people
  3. Targeted programme development support – focused on areas
  4. Recognition for our young people and adults
  5. Involving young people
We do this by supporting leaders, holding County Support Team meetings open to all, organising key events and leading on new initiatives.
